I really enjoy making these pieces because they're something of a meditation. Though I decide where my brush goes I can't really predict what the outcome will be. This randomness requires that I let go of the need to control! Whew!

*Caring for Your Mixed Media Encaustic
Encaustic wax is stable between temperatures of approximately 40-110°F. The wax melts and runs at 162°F. Do not hang this piece in direct sunlight as this may fade the colors. Very hot days can soften wax somewhat but will cause no real damage. Avoid freezing and extremely hot temperatures.
