♥ I think a lot of people are motivated by things that promote their false sense of security. Having said that, I also believe that things are usually never what they seem.♥

I used encaustic beeswax to create the texture of this piece. Added some metal leaf, oil paint, a few bits and pieces and there you have it. Whatever "it" is. (I actually was in the military so maybe that has something to do with it?)

Approximate dimensions: 5 ½" wide x 5 ½" tall x 1" deep. (The army man on this piece adds about another 2 inches to the height.)

Signed on the back and ready to hang.

~ Small scratches, fibers and other such "imperfections" are intentional as they add to the character of this piece. ~


*Caring for Your Mixed Media Encaustic
Encaustic wax is stable between temperatures of approximately 40-110°F. The wax melts and runs at 162°F. Do not hang this piece in direct sunlight as this may fade the colors. Very hot days can soften wax somewhat but will cause no real damage. Avoid freezing and extremely hot temperatures.
