These interesting old terraced houses are near where I lived the year I went to University in England. I painted on and fused several layers of beeswax and then finished it off with a bit of oil paint and paper fibers.

Signed on the back and ready to hang.
~ Small scratches, fibers and other such "imperfections" are intentional as they add to the character of this piece. ~
*Caring for Your Encaustic Photograph
For several months after the completion of this piece the wax/resin will go through a curing process in which the surface continues to harden. During this time moisture and impurities may work their way to the surface and cause a slight haze. If you wish, you can restore the shine by buffing with a soft cotton cloth in one direction. Do not use cleaners or solvents. As time goes by and the wax/resin has had a chance to cure and harden it will keep its polished look.
Encaustic wax is stable between temperatures of approximately 40-110°F. The wax melts and runs at 162°F. Do not hang this piece in direct sunlight as this may fade the colors. Very hot days can soften wax somewhat but will cause no real damage. Avoid freezing and extremely hot temperatures.
